iReP the Street & Club Dance Crew

iReP the Street & Club Dance Crew is dedicated to creating dance specific routines encompassing only styles created in the street and club dance community more famously known as Hip Hop. We also strive to give our members a safe and inclusive place to advance themselves while assessing the roles they will play in their communities and as a part of the street and club dance community and culture as a whole.

Participation in iReP is by audition only. Accepted students are required to take one weekly Hip Hop class at the School at Peridance in addition to a weekly rehearsal (rehearsal time, TBA, likely Saturday afternoons). iReP will perform their work at our Annual Concert (additional performance opportunities TBA).

SynKopate

SynKopate is a pre-professional tap company within the School at Peridance aimed towards the Intermediate to Advanced Tap dancer ages 14-17 years. This company is for those students who have a passion for and are inspired by all things TAP! Accepted students are required to take a technique class within The School at Peridance as well as attend weekly company rehearsals for multiple performance opportunities within the KnJ Theater at Peridance Center as well as other potential venues throughout NYC.

Youth Ensemble

Peridance Ensemble is a new performance-based program for dancers between the ages of 17 and 23, which is designed to reflect the experience of being in a professional company. The program is structured to cultivate their artistry through technical training, collaborative rehearsal process, and performance.

The ensemble serves as a launchpad for those who aspire to have a professional career in dance. Students are given opportunities to perform throughout the tri-state area, work closely with world-renowned choreographers, develop their artistic voice through choreographic opportunities, and become a part of the larger global dance community in New York City.

This program runs from September 2024 - May 2025
