The International Dance School/Peridance Center is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students under an F-1 Visa Program.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS


Peridance has been a leader in New York's dance community for over 40 years, making it possible for students of all levels to study and experience New York City. The International Dance School/Peridance Center is authorized under federal law, Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), to enroll non-immigrant students under an F-1 Visa Program.

 

Peridance caters to students from all over the world including: Russia, Brazil, Israel, Germany, Austria, Italy, United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico, India, Korea, Switzerland, China, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Finland, The Netherlands, Egypt, South Africa, Jamaica, France, and Colombia. Our world-renowned faculty and remarkable selection of classes make for a highly rewarding educational experience. We welcome you to our state-of-the-art facility, which includes six studios and an in-house theater.

We look forward to helping you achieve your goals here at Peridance! We provide students with step-by-step guidance from their initial application to their arrival in the United States. Peridance also assists with acclimating to the city, finding housing, taking English lessons, and enjoying student discounts.

International students can apply to the following programs:

AUTHORIZED EMPLOYMENT POSSIBILITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS


A student may be eligible to apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT), which allow them up to 20 weekly hours of employment that is directly related to their field of study. The purpose of this part-time employment is to enhance the curriculum that the program offers with practical experience in the field.

International students that have studied at Peridance for a minimum of three consecutive years (or two years for Certificate Program students) and have successfully maintained a good status, may be eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT). If approved by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services), an OPT grantee may work full-time as a professional in their field of study for one year.

How To Apply

All international students attending programs at the International Dance School / Peridance Center must be in active F-1 status at the time of study in order to be enrolled in one of our programs (with limited exceptions). If you do not currently have a valid F-1 visa and you are outside of the United States, you will need to obtain a new F-1 visa in order to enter the United States and study in one of our programs. Please note that if you are applying for the Certificate Program or MOPTOP Universal, you must first audition for, and be accepted into the program, before submitting your Application Request Form.
