For over 40 years, Peridance has been a recognizable force
in the New York City dance community, a place where toddlers, teenagers, and adults can dance and learn alongside professional dancers, acclaimed teachers, and students from around the globe. Rooted in the Union Square area, in the heart of New York City, Peridance Center is housed in a beautiful landmark building, featuring six spacious, sprung and column-free studios and an in-
house state-of-the-art facility, The KnJ Theater, available for rentals, showcases and performances. Peridance has four main divisions: The School at Peridance Division (for children), Education and Training Programs Division (for pre-professionals), The Open Class Program Division (for adults), and The Company (Peridance Contemporary Dance Company).
The Center enjoys strong affiliations and close relationships with various professional companies and dance institutions, creating a vibrant dance community that enhances both educational and networking opportunities. Students directly benefit from being immersed in this vibrant dance community, enriching their day-to-day study and obtaining opportunities to further their career.

This option allows your group to experience the local vibe, dancing side by side with both native and international students and professional dancers, while learning from the best instructors teaching today.

HOW TO BOOK
​
Contact our Groups Coordinator at groups@peridance.com to schedule your visit at least one month in advance. Our Groups Coordinator will help you create a personalized schedule of study from over 200 weekly classes. You will then receive an invoice confirming all details and rates for you
to review and sign. Payment must be made in full prior to the visit date. In the event of cancellation, the Center must be notified at least 48 hours prior to the group visit. Should this happen, our Groups Coordinator will assist you in rescheduling your visit.

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY

No refunds will be given if a group reservation is cancelled less than ten (10) days prior to the scheduled class(es)/event. If you cancel more than ten (10) days in advance, a full refund will be given, minus a 10% non-refundable administrative fee.

OPTION 2 [Ages 13+]
ARRANGING A PRIVATE CLASS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR YOUR GROUP’S LEVEL AND NEEDS
This option provides your group with the opportunity to receive personalized corrections, undivided attention, and an intimate work environment with some of the
most in-demand teachers in today’s dance scene. Private classes are offered in all of the disciplines offered by our current faculty.

HOW TO BOOK

Contact our Groups Coordinator at groups@peridance.com to schedule your visit at least
one month in advance. Our Groups Coordinator will assist you in choosing a style of dance for your
private group class and selecting an instructor from the Peridance Center faculty list. You will then
receive an invoice confirming all details and rates for you to review and sign. Payment must be made in
full prior to the visit date. In the event of cancellation, the Center must be notified at least 48 hours prior
to the group visit. Should this happen, our Groups Coordinator will assist you in rescheduling your visit.

$34 per student, per class, 16 students or more

*Additional fees will apply for live musicians, 40 dancers or more, and classes over 90 minutes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When are the best times to bring a group?
Any time! Peridance’s premier faculty teach all year long, seven days a week. The Center also brings in special guests and hosts Master Workshops to continue to give our students exposure to new ideas, genres, and top choreographers in the dance world.
Which classes are appropriate for my students?
We offer a broad range of classes for all levels and in most styles. Our Groups Coorinator will be able to help plan your visit based on the interests, age, and level of your students.
Do we have to pre-register for our group visit?
In order to receive our group discounted rate, you must register your group of 10 or more students at least one month prior with our Groups Coordinator.
Can all of our students take class together?
Most groups can be accommodated to have all of their students take the same classes. If your group is large and has varying levels of dancers, our Groups Coordinator will advise you to divide up your students into the appropriate classes.
Are teachers allowed to be present during class?
Teachers are welcome to observe their students while class is in progress free of charge. Teachers are also welcome to take class at our group discounted rate.
Do you offer summer intensives?
Yes, we offer summer intensives for dancers of all ages. Visit our Workshops & Intensives page for more information. We also offer year-round training programs: Certificate Program, MOPTOP Universal Program, and the Independent Study Program.
What’s in the neighborhood?
Peridance is located in a great neighborhood just one block south of Union Square, a popular destination for locals and travelers alike. Union Square is home to a world renowned farmers market and endless shops and resteraurants. Any day of the week, you’ll find the park full of local artists, vendors, and performers.
