Shimon Ito began his journey into dance at age 4 with his mother at Asako Ballet New York. At the age of 8, he was enrolled into School of American Ballet for 5 years. He went on to graduate with accolades at The National Ballet School of Canada. He also attended the John Cranko School in Stuttgart where he trained with Pyotr Pestov. Ito then went on to train at The San Francisco Ballet as a Trainee, later joining Ballet San Jose. Recognized as a finalist at the Jackson International Ballet Competition in 2010, he rose to Principal Soloist at Miami City Ballet. In 2023, he joined Carolina Ballet.
