BIOGRAPHY

I Grew up in the Bronx and Upstate New York. My first passion was soccer and made a career out of it until my injury which led me to popping. Before I was born my grandmother had a deli shop around Van Cortlandt where the NYC breakers used to get down. I did not find this out until later but my mother introduced me to the dance. I used to watch movies like Beat Street & Breakin 'on repeat. My inspiration came from seeing Popping Taco & Mr. Wave get down. I learned from them via VHS rewinding until I broke the VCR. Back in 2012 I entered a jam called Just to get a Rep where I faced a fellow popper and he introduced me to the culture. This is where I saw the dance culture for the first time. I fell in love and have been popping and battling ever since. This has led me to travel the world as a battle guest in several jams. I have taught in several studios (Dance Expression, EXPG, Broadway Dance Center, Etc) and appeared in music videos and movies as a principal dancer or choreographer. One big honor was to do this in the Lin Manuel Movie "In the Heights" directed by Jon M. Chu. I continue to strive and push my dance as much as possible and also love to teach and share my experience with my students.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

This is an open class so all levels are welcome. For my beginners you will learn everything about the foundation and dance. For my intermediate: you will continue to grow within your dance & refine your skills, and for my advance I will push you to levels that will bring the best out of you and find your identity. Note that in my class there are graduations, meaning you can go from beginner to intermediate to advance. This is all dependent on the work you put in. Also the most important, is that this class will be fun and a great learning experience for everyone who wants to learn.
