BIOGRAPHY

BODYTRAFFIC is a world-class contemporary dance company, known internationally for its Los Angeles-grown, contagious vivacity. Founded in 2007 by Lillian Rose Barbeito and Tina Finkelman Berkett, BODYTRAFFIC continues to push boundaries and establish Los Angeles as a city known for dance. Named “the company of the future”, and called “one of the most talked-about companies - not just in LA, but nationwide” by the Los Angeles Times, BODYTRAFFIC is deeply committed to producing acclaimed works by distinctive choreographic voices.



Tina Finkelman Berkett Biography:



TINA FINKELMAN BERKETT is the Co-Director of BODYTRAFFIC. She grew up in New York City under the tutelage of Michele Cuccaro Cain where she trained and learned to love dance. Tina attended Barnard College, Columbia University. Upon graduation she joined Aszure Barton & Artists and performed with the company throughout the United States, including at Jacob’s Pillow and Spoleto Festivals. Tina became Aszure Barton’s assistant and taught alongside Barton both in the US and abroad. She had the incredible honor of being a founding member of Mikhail Baryshnikov’s Hell’s Kitchen Dance. In 2007, she moved to Los Angeles and founded BODYTRAFFIC with Lillian Barbeito.
