BIOGRAPHY
Andrew Wojtal Raised in Gorham, Maine, Andrew continued his dance education at the California Institute of the Arts, earning his B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography in 2011. A 2010 recipient of the Princess Grace Dance Award, Andrew's dance credits include BODYTRAFFIC, Shen Wei Dance Arts, ARC Dance Project, and Island Moving Company. Stage credits include Hamilton: An American Musical where he played Samuel Seabury/u.s. for King George III and was an ensemble member from 2017-2020 (including its limited
engagement in San Juan, PR featuring Lin Manuel Miranda) as well as the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof in 2016. Commercially he has appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Parenthood, and performed with Taylor Swift. Andrew’s Guest Faculty engagements include Idyllwild Arts Academy, Juilliard, Aksanat (Istanbul, Turkey), New Mexico School for the Arts, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (Istanbul, Turkey), Loyola Marymount University, and AMDA. Andrew’s choreography has been
presented by REDCAT (Los Angeles, CA), Bates Dance Festival (Lewiston, ME), Pact Zollverein (Essen, Germany), and Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles, CA). In 2015 Andrew partnered with the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the US Consulate Generals in Istanbul,
Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Amman and facilitated a cultural exchange with different communities through movement workshops, demonstrations, artist talks, performances and classes. He currently works as a dancer, choreographer, and musician in New York City.
