Professional ballet dancer, Raeman Kilfoil, is
performing, teaching and coaching. Raeman began his
training in
Long Island,
New York, and then
at the School of American Ballet with Stanley
Williams, Jock Soto, and Damien Woetzel. He then
went on to study
with Francois
Perron, Patricia
McBride and Edward Villella, in New York City, and
with Violette Verdy and Goping Wang, at Indiana
University
Bloomington, in
Bloomington, IN.
Since then, Raeman has enjoyed a busy performing
career, first as a soloist with North Carolina Dance
Theater, in
Charlotte, NC,
then as a
principal with Festival Ballet Providence, in
Providence, RI, and most recently with New Jersey
Ballet. Career
highlights and
favorite roles include
The Prince in Swan Lake, Cavalier in The Nutcracker,
Step Sister in Cinderella and many others.
A New York City native, Raeman is thrilled to be
back performing and teaching in his hometown. He is
currently
performing with
an eclectic
group of companies, including the Connecticut
Ballet, where he has performed for two seasons,
Sarah Berges
Dance, and
Thomas Ortiz Dance.
Raeman is part of faculty at Peridance and the French Academie
of Ballet, both in
New York
City. Raeman
brings to his
teaching a pure physicality and joy of movement,
that coupled with precise technique and musical
execution,
brings all students
closer to a
ballet ideal, no matter their level.
