Leslie J. Miller began her training at the Hanover School of
Ballet, through which she had the opportunity to travel, as
an ambassador of dance, throughout Europe, China, and
various venues throughout the U.S. As a scholarship
student, she graduated cum laude, with a BFA in Ballet,
from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of
Music. She furthered her studies at the Taylor School, the
Joffrey Ballet School, River North Chicago, and with Donald
Byrd of Spectrum Dance Theater. Leslie was a member of
Verb Ballets, the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II,
and she was the Company Coordinator and a dancer with
Dance China NY. She has performed the works of Petipa,
Taylor, Balanchine, Cunningham, Humphrey, and other
notable choreographers such as Seán Curran, Heinz Poll,
Victoria Morgan, Jiang Qi, Tommie Waheed Evans, Richard
Dickinson, and Antonio Brown. As a fellowship and
scholarship recipient, she graduated from New York
University’s Tisch School of the Arts, with an MFA in Dance
Performance. Most recently, Leslie was the Education
Programs and Dance China NY Manager, at the New York
Chinese Cultural Center, and she is presently teaching
dance throughout the New York City area.
