Biography:
Derrick Xtravaganza was a professional dancer, new york ballroom icon & master expert of the performance art of vogue. His Professional Performances included: an opening for recording artist and fashion muse, Lady Gaga, a performance at The Box during New York Fashion Week Promotional Event. September, 2009. New York, NY., Ditech Fashion Show. June, 2009. New York, NY., and Say It Loud! Black & Latino Gay Pride,sponsored by In Our Own Voices, Inc. Opening Celebration. June 5- 7, 2009. Albany, New York.His music video appearances included: The Art of Seduction, Santa. July 21, 2009. -Drop a House (Razer and Guido Remix), Heather Leigh West. In 2010, he won the Willie Ninja Supreme Award, 2010 and in 2011 he performed for LA PRIDE.
In 2011 Derrick Xtravanganza was inducted into the Ballroom Hall of Fame for his overall ballroom excellence, groundbreaking efforts, and positive influence as an icon and one of the teachers of the ballroom . He exemplified the true meaning of longevity and survival.
