ABOUT US

For over 40 years, Peridance has been a recognizable force in the New York City dance community, a place where toddlers, teenagers, and adults can dance and learn alongside professional dancers, acclaimed teachers, and students from around the globe.

Rooted in the Union Square area, in the heart of New York City, Peridance Center is housed in a beautiful landmark building, featuring six spacious, sprung and column-free studios and an in-house state-of-the-art facility. The KnJ Theater is available for rentals, showcases, and performances.

(for Children & Teens)

The School at Peridance, with its renowned programs for students of all ages and levels, was established in 1983 and has been recognized as a pioneer in dance education within the New York dance community.

The school features a progressive interdisciplinary approach to dance training, emphasizing a thorough understanding of various dance techniques while promoting self-expression and creativity. The School at Peridance offers enrollment-based classes and audition-based performance companies for students ranging from 18 months to 18 years in genres including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, and more!

Education and Training Programs Division
(for Pre-Professionals)

Peridance prepares dancers for the continually evolving national and international dance arena through an array of educational training programs, led by an exceptional, world-renowned faculty.

Programs include:

Certificate Program [2-Years]
MOPTOP Universal Professional Program [3 or 6 Months]
Independent Study Program [3, 6, or 12 Months]
Peridance Collective [9 Months]

Programs admit international and domestic students. The International Dance School/Peridance Center is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students under an F-1 Visa Program.

Program Division
(for Adults)

Peridance's Open Class Program offers a wide spectrum of over 200 "drop-in" dance classes and workshops in various techniques and styles on a daily basis, catering to adult students, on all levels, and from all over the world. These year-round classes are open to the community as pay-as-you-go classes.

Peridance Contemporary Dance Company (PCDC), founded by renowned choreographer, Igal Perry, is a repertory company with unwavering commitment to creative collaboration and sustainable social engagement. PCDC works nationally and internationally to amplify both emerging and established artistic voices and to create visionary performance based in care, vigor, and innovation.

Peridance Center offers technique classes in all major dance disciplines for dancers of all levels.
