Mary MacLeod has appeared on Broadway in FOSSE,
SEUSSICAL,
CHICAGO, COMPANY (Kathy), GUYS & DOLLS, SMOKEY
JOE’S
CAFÉ (Dance Captain/ASM), and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
(Dance
Captain/ASM). Other NY credits include FIORELLO, CAN-CAN,
BYE-BYE BIRDIE (Associate Choreographer), JUNO , ON THE
TOWN (Little Old Lady) and DAMN YANKEES (re-created
original
Bob Fosse choreography) for the City Center Encores! Series.
Mary also re-created Fosse’s choreography for DAMN YANKEES
at the St. Louis Muny, 2010, for which she won the Kevin Kline
Award. National Tours Include JEROME ROBBINS’
BROADWAY,
OKLAHOMA (Dream Laurey), GUYS & DOLLS, and CHICAGO
(Mona). Regionally she has been seen as Nickie in SWEET
CHARITY, Velma in CHICAGO, Lola in DAMN YANKEES, The
Princess in Stravinsky’s L’HISTOIRE DU SOLDAT with the
Philadelphia and Boston Symphony Orchestras, in addition to
the
ensembles of EVITA, PAINT YOUR WAGON, 42nd STREET,
CARNIVAL, and ON YOUR TOES. As a teacher, Mary has taught
creative movement and theatre dance at various schools and
studios in New York City and around the country. She teaches
at
the Summer Intensives Destination Broadway, and the
Broadway
Laboratory in Martha’s Vineyard. Mary is currently the Assistant
Stage Manager of SISTER ACT on Broadway.
