    Biography:



    Daiuske Omiya was born in Gifu, Japan, and started tap dancing when he was 16 years old. He studied with master teachers such as Savion Glover, Derick K Grant, and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards. He has spent time as tap dancer in New York City, and began studying contemporary dance, modern, street dance, and ballet.

    Presently Daisuke is a member of The DASH Ensemble by artistic director Gregory Dolbashian. Daisuke has been part of original creation and performed works by Maija Gracia, Nathan Trice, Bryan Arias and many others. He presented a solo piece of work he choreographed for the E-MOVES series at The Harlem Stage Gatehouse. Daisuke has been selected by Italian International Dance Festival 2013 for AJD ' Emerging Choreographer winner 2013' where he was privileged to present his solo work.
